Floor Signs Overview
Heskins floor signs are constructed from a hard-wearing, durable plastic that will withstand foot and forklift traffic, intended for use in factory warehouses and buildings where restrictions and safety notifications need to be highlighted
Floor signs have their designs printed onto the surface, and then a top laminate applied over that to protect the print, preventing its important messages from being worn off and therefore resulting in them lasting a long time. A strong adhesive base is applied to ensure that after application, they will hold fast and only be removed when you want them to be.
Intended Application Environments
Heskins floor signs can be applied in any area of your choosing. Areas for application generally include entranceways into specific areas to notify people of certain restrictions or hazards to look out for. They can also be applied in areas to warn of potential hazards that occur once inside an area such as wet floors or steps. Not just restricted to floor application, Heskins floor markers can also be applied on walls and doors. Anywhere to ensure the message they are displaying is most visible for staff and guests.
Various designs of our floor signs are suitable to apply in warehouse aisles to warn of foot or vehicle traffic, or in doorways to notify of restrictions when entering certain areas.
With a quick application, Heskins floor safety signs require no downtime to apply. Clean the surface area, and then you can peel off the backing liner, and stick it down.

FM Floor Signs – FAQ
What are Floor Signs FM?
Floor Signs FM are durable, self-adhesive warehouse and workplace safety signs designed for floors, walls, and doors. They communicate warnings, restrictions, mandatory actions, and directional information in factories, warehouses, and other industrial environments. A clear top laminate helps protect the printed design from everyday wear.
What types of warehouse floor signs are available?
The range includes floor signage for forklift areas, pedestrian routes, clear aisles, restricted access, wet floors, PPE requirements, electrical hazards, and emergency equipment.
Examples include Keep Aisle Clear, Forklift Truck Area, No Entry, Pedestrian Route, Slippery When Wet, Safety Helmets, and Eye Wash Station signs.
How can floor signs improve warehouse safety?
Floor signs place important safety information directly within a person’s line of travel. They can highlight vehicle movements, pedestrian routes, restricted zones, required PPE, and other workplace hazards.
Combined with industrial floor marking tape, they can create a clearer warehouse safety and visual management system.
Can Floor Signs be used for pedestrian and forklift routes?
Yes. The range includes forklift warning signs, pedestrian route signs, and no-pedestrian-access designs that can reinforce areas where pedestrians and workplace vehicles operate.
Floor signage should form part of a wider traffic management system based on the site’s risk assessment, traffic flow, and safety procedures.
Which Floor Signs can help keep warehouse aisles clear?
Signs such as Keep Aisle Clear, Keep Clear, and No Parking can identify routes and operational areas that must remain unobstructed.
They can be positioned near warehouse aisles, loading areas, pedestrian routes, and other locations where blocked access could create a safety or workflow issue.
What safety messages are available on Floor Signs FM?
The FM range includes warning, prohibition, mandatory, and directional floor signage. Messages cover eye, ear, footwear, helmet, and high-visibility PPE requirements, along with electrical warnings, restricted access, no smoking, no entry, slippery floors, and forklift hazards.
This allows different workplace safety requirements to be communicated using a coordinated range of signs.
How durable are Floor Signs FM?
The designs are printed onto industrial-grade plastic and covered with a clear protective top laminate. This helps protect the message from routine foot traffic, cleaning, and everyday workplace wear, allowing safety information to remain visible for longer.
How do you apply Floor Signs FM?
Clean and dry the application area, remove the backing liner, and press the self-adhesive sign firmly into position.
No specialized installation equipment, paint, or curing period is required, so the Floor Sign can be used immediately after application.
Can Floor Signs be applied to walls and doors?
Yes. Floor Signs FM can be applied to suitable floors, walls, and doors. This allows warnings, mandatory instructions, and directional information to be positioned where they will be most visible to employees, visitors, and contractors.
What is the difference between floor signs and floor marking tape?
Floor marking tape creates continuous lines for aisles, pedestrian routes, storage zones, and workplace boundaries. Floor signs communicate a specific message using text, symbols, or directional information.
Using both together allows industrial floor tape to define an area while floor signage explains its purpose, helping create clearer safety floor markings and warehouse wayfinding.
Can Floor Signs support 5S workplace organization?
Yes. Floor Signs can reinforce pedestrian routes, storage restrictions, equipment requirements, safety zones, and areas that must remain clear.
Used alongside color-coded floor marking tape and designated storage locations, they can form part of a consistent 5S visual management system throughout a warehouse or factory.
