PermaStripe Overview
PermaStripe is the world’s most effective and durable floor marking system, designed for warehouse walkways and aisles as an alternative to painted or resin lines. With PermaStripe industrial floor tape, you can create clearly defined routes for employees to work safely and for visitors to move through your facility efficiently.
BENEFITS
PermaStripe is an industrial-grade floor tape, 1300 microns (0.051”) thick. Its homogeneous construction ensures that scrapes or wear don’t affect the color, as the pigment runs throughout the material.
Made from tough PVC with an embossed surface and beveled edges, PermaStripe is simple to install on a clean, dry surface using its strong, permanent adhesive that covers the full width of the tape from edge to edge.
APPLICATION
Installing the PermaStripe floor marking tape range is quick and easy. Just peel back the liner and apply to a clean, dry surface-no additional preparation is required. Once in place, the area can be used immediately, minimizing downtime in your workplace.
By using PermaStripe for warehouse floor markings, you can optimize your facility, allowing tasks to be carried out more efficiently. Our full color range supports the creation of a 5S floor marking plan that improves organization and safety across your workplace.
PERMASTRIPE SIZES
PermaStripe industrial floor marking tape is available for immediate shipping in widths of 2” (50mm), 3” (75mm), and 4” (100mm), each supplied in 98ft (30m) rolls, along with a variety of die-cut shapes in multiple colors.
Glow-in-the-Dark PermaStripe is offered in 3” and 4” rolls, providing added visibility for emergency exits, walkways, and OSHA-compliant safety zones.
The maximum width PermaStripe can be supplied in is 49.6” (1260mm).
DIE-CUT
We have a wide selection of PermaStripe die-cut shapes in many sizes, available for immediate shipping. These shapes make it easy to create a custom floor marking system that supports 5S optimization. Our in-house production machinery ensures consistent stock levels and fast turnaround.
Before the PermaStripe system, creating custom floor tape layouts often meant squared-off joins or cutting angles by hand-a process that was time-consuming and sometimes unsafe. Now, with PermaStripe die-cuts in stock in a variety of shapes and colors, you can build a professional floor marking system in the shortest time possible.
REMOVING PERMASTRIPE
Despite its strength and thickness, PermaStripe can be removed without snapping. This allows for fast and easy 5S changes in the workplace, unlike resin or painted lines which are permanent.
PERMASTRIPE 3 YEAR WARRANTY
Heskins provides a conditional 3-year warranty on PermaStripe floor marking tape from the date of purchase. Warranty claims are limited to product replacement and do not cover damage from pallets, skids, or other items being dragged across the tape.

PERM PermaStripe – FAQ
What is PermaStripe PERM floor marking tape?
PermaStripe PERM is a heavy-duty industrial floor marking tape designed for warehouses, factories, and other busy workplaces. Its durable PVC construction, embossed surface, and beveled edges make it suitable for creating aisles, pedestrian walkways, storage bays, work zones, and other safety floor markings.
Is PermaStripe suitable for warehouse and factory floors?
Yes. PermaStripe is designed for industrial warehouse and factory floor marking. It can be used to define pedestrian walkways, aisles, production zones, storage areas, and vehicle routes.
The tape is applied directly to a clean, dry floor and requires no curing or drying time, helping minimize disruption during installation.
Can PermaStripe withstand forklift traffic?
Yes. PermaStripe is designed for busy industrial floors exposed to heavy pedestrian and wheeled traffic, including forklift routes.
For the best service life, pallets, transit skids, and other heavy objects should not be dragged, pushed, or scraped across the tape, as this can damage the material and is excluded from the product warranty.
What makes PERM a heavy-duty floor marking tape?
PERM is manufactured from homogeneous PVC and is approximately 1,300 microns, or 1.3 mm, thick. Because the color runs throughout the material, surface scrapes do not immediately expose a differently colored backing layer.
Its embossed surface, strong permanent adhesive, and beveled edges provide a durable industrial floor marking solution for demanding environments.
Will PermaStripe stick to concrete floors?
PermaStripe can be applied to properly prepared concrete floors. The surface should be sound, clean, dry, and free from dust, oil, grease, and loose material to allow the adhesive to make effective contact.
Very rough, porous, or powdery concrete should be tested with a sample before completing a large floor marking installation.
How do you install PermaStripe floor tape?
Clean and dry the floor thoroughly before installation. Position the floor tape, peel back part of the release liner, and press the adhesive side firmly onto the surface. Continue removing the liner gradually while applying consistent pressure across the full width.
PermaStripe requires no curing or drying time, so the marked area can return to use immediately after installation.
Do I need a floor tape applicator?
No. PermaStripe can be installed manually, so a floor tape applicator is not essential.
For long warehouse aisles, factory floors, or large 5S floor marking projects, an applicator can make installation faster and help produce straighter, more consistent lines.
Is floor marking tape better than floor paint?
Floor marking tape can be a better option when fast installation, minimal downtime, and future layout changes are important. PermaStripe does not require the drying or curing time associated with many floor paints, allowing areas to return to use immediately.
It can also be removed when warehouse or production layouts change, making it a flexible alternative to permanent painted or resin floor markings.
What sizes and colors is PermaStripe PERM available in?
PermaStripe PERM is available in standard 50 mm, 75 mm, and 100 mm widths, with a roll length of 30 meters. Wider material can also be produced for specialized applications.
Colors include black, red, orange, yellow, fluorescent yellow, green, blue, and white, along with striped hazard options for industrial safety floor markings.
Can PermaStripe be used for 5S floor marking and color coding?
Yes. PermaStripe can support 5S floor marking and lean manufacturing by identifying pedestrian routes, vehicle lanes, storage positions, work cells, equipment zones, and operational areas.
Different floor tape colors can be assigned to specific functions as part of a documented visual management system. The chosen color coding should reflect the workplace risk assessment and be applied consistently throughout the facility.
Can PermaStripe be removed when a layout changes?
Yes. Although PermaStripe is designed as a durable industrial floor tape, it can be removed when warehouse, factory, or 5S layouts need to change.
Its substantial construction helps the tape remain intact during removal rather than repeatedly breaking, making it easier to update workplace markings when operational requirements change.
How long does PermaStripe floor marking tape last?
The service life of PermaStripe depends on floor preparation, traffic levels, cleaning methods, and how the marked area is used.
PermaStripe PERM is supplied with a conditional three-year warranty from the date of purchase. The warranty covers replacement of the product but excludes damage caused by pallets, transit skids, or other objects being dragged, pushed, or scraped across the tape.
